Remedial massage is a manual (hands on) therapeutic treatment focused on reducing pain, tension, and movement restrictions in the body. Treatments are tailored to individual needs for that day, and help with everything from injury recovery, stress and headaches to chronic tightness (think shoulders and neck) and postural strain.
Every treatment is different because every body and every day is different. Some sessions may be more focused and therapeutic, while others may be slower and restorative depending on what your body needs that day.
Before treatment begins, we will speak in depth about treatment options, draping, areas of focus, pain tolerance levels (deep pressure/pain does not equal effectiveness. Intense levels of pain is not how I approach treatments) and your personal comfort level to ensure you feel completely comfortable and informed throughout your session.
Clients undress to their own comfort level for treatment and are fully covered throughout the session using professional draping techniques. Only the area being treated is uncovered at any time and is re-covered before moving on. I also communicate throughout the treatment so you always know where I am working and where I am moving next. You will never be left guessing during your session and are in control at all times.
Fire cupping is included as part of your treatment at no additional charge.
While many clinics offer cupping as an added upgrade or separate fee, I incorporate it when it is appropriate and likely to benefit your treatment goals. If it is deemed to be effective for your specific concerns, we may choose to include it as part of your session.
Fire cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses glass cups to create gentle suction on the skin and underlying tissues. The suction helps increase circulation, decompress tight muscles and fascia, and can create a deep stretching sensation in areas of tension or restriction.
Fire cupping may be incorporated into a remedial massage treatment to help with muscle tightness, stubborn tension patterns, mobility restrictions, and general recovery. Some clients find it especially helpful for areas such as the back, shoulders, hips, and legs.
Cups may remain stationary or be gently moved across the body depending on the treatment goals and your comfort level. The sensation is often described as a pulling or lifting feeling rather than pressure.
Temporary circular marks or discoloration can occur after treatment and are a normal response to the increased circulation created by the suction. These marks are typically not painful and usually fade within several days to two weeks.
Before treatment, we will discuss whether cupping is appropriate for you, what to expect during the session, and your personal comfort level to ensure you feel informed and at ease throughout the treatment.
Myofascial cupping is included as part of your treatment at no additional charge. While many clinics offer cupping as an added upgrade or separate fee, I incorporate it when it is appropriate and likely to benefit your treatment goals. If it is deemed to be effective for your specific concerns, we may choose to include it as part of your session.
Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses silicone or specialized cups to create gentle suction while moving across the muscles and fascia. Unlike stationary fire cupping, this technique combines movement with suction to help release tension, improve tissue mobility, increase circulation, and reduce areas of restriction within the connective tissues.
The treatment is often described as a deep stretching or gliding sensation and can be especially helpful for chronic tightness, postural tension, restricted movement, athletic recovery, and areas where tissues feel “stuck” or guarded. Common treatment areas include the back, shoulders, hips, legs, and neck.
Pressure and intensity can be adjusted throughout the session depending on your comfort level and treatment goals. Communication happens throughout treatment so you always know what is being done and what to expect during the technique.
Temporary redness or mild circular marks can sometimes occur after treatment due to the increased circulation created by the suction. These responses are normal and typically fade within several days to two weeks.
Before treatment, we will discuss whether myofascial cupping is appropriate for you, what to expect during the session, and your personal comfort level to ensure you feel informed and at ease throughout the treatment.
Hot stone massage is included as part of your treatment at no additional charge. While many clinics offer hot stones as an added upgrade or separate fee, I incorporate them when they are appropriate and likely to benefit your treatment goals. If it is deemed to be effective for your specific concerns, we may choose to include them as part of your session.
Unlike traditional hot stone treatments where stones are simply placed on the body, I use heated stones as therapeutic massage tools to actively work into the muscles and surrounding tissues. The warmth helps muscles relax and soften more quickly, allowing deeper or more focused treatment to be performed with less pressure and discomfort.
Hot stone treatment can be especially beneficial for chronic tension, tight muscles, stress, and areas that may feel sensitive or guarded with deeper pressure alone. The heat also helps promote relaxation and calming of the nervous system, often making treatment feel more comfortable, effective, and restorative overall.
Pressure, temperature, and treatment intensity are always adjusted to your comfort level throughout the session. Communication happens throughout treatment so you always know what is being done and can provide feedback at any time.
Before treatment, we will discuss whether hot stone therapy is appropriate for you, what to expect during the session, and your personal comfort level to ensure you feel informed and at ease throughout the treatment.
Swedish massage is a more relaxation-focused style of massage designed to calm the nervous system, reduce overall stress, improve circulation, and promote general wellbeing. Treatments typically use flowing, rhythmic techniques with lighter to moderate pressure to help the body relax and unwind.
While remedial massage is more focused on specific areas of pain, tension, dysfunction, or recovery, Swedish massage is generally intended to support relaxation and full-body wellness. It is an excellent option for clients looking to reduce stress, ease general muscle tension, improve sleep, or simply take time to slow down and recharge.
Pressure is always adjusted to your comfort level, and treatments can range from light and soothing to firmer relaxation pressure depending on your preferences. Some clients also enjoy a combination of both remedial and Swedish techniques within the same session depending on their treatment goals that day.
Clients undress to their own comfort level and are professionally draped throughout treatment. Only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time and is re-covered before moving on. Communication happens throughout the session so you always know where I am working and where I am moving next — you will never be left guessing during treatment.
Before treatment begins, we will discuss your goals, preferences, areas of focus, and personal comfort level to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and fully at ease throughout your session.

My purpose is to support as many people as possible in their quest for health and healing, and to educate them about Massage Therapy so they may, in turn, educate others.
